1. Create your JAMB Profile:

  • This is the first and most crucial step. You can create your profile in two ways:
    • By SMS: Send your National Identification Number (NIN) to 55019 or 66019 via SMS. You’ll receive a confirmation message with your 10-digit profile code.
    • Online: Visit the JAMB portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/ and click on “Sign Up for UTME/DE.” Fill in the required information and submit.

2. Get your e-PIN:

  • With your profile code, proceed to purchase an e-PIN. You can do this in several ways:
    • Online: Pay with your ATM card on the JAMB portal or through designated partner platforms like PIN Debit, Remita, or Interswitch.
    • Banks and CBT Centres: Visit any JAMB-accredited bank or CBT centre and pay the required fee (N6,200 for UTME, N6,200 for DE, and N7,700 for UTME with Mock).

3. Visit a JAMB Accredited CBT Centre:

  • Locate a JAMB-accredited CBT centre near you. You can find a list of accredited centres on the JAMB website.
  • Go to the centre with your e-PIN, profile code, and any other required documents (O’Level results printout, passport photograph, etc.).
  • The CBT centre staff will guide you through the registration process, including capturing your biometrics and fingerprints.

4. Complete the Registration:

  • Carefully review and confirm all your information on the registration form.
  • Make sure you choose the correct examination type (UTME or DE) and your preferred universities and programmes.
  • Pay the registration fee (N1,000) and any other applicable charges at the CBT centre.
  • Submit your form and obtain a confirmation printout.
