Tsinghua University welcomes qualified international students to apply for a Schwarzman Scholars Program 2022

Schwarzman Scholars is the first scholarship developed to respond to the geopolitical landscape of the twenty-first century, with the goal of preparing the next generation of global leaders. Through a one-year Master’s Degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing – one of China’s most prominent universities – the program will provide the world’s best and brightest students with the opportunity to strengthen their leadership abilities and professional networks.

Eligible Criteria | Fully Funded Tsinghua University’s Schwarzman Scholars Program 2022

  • Bachelor’s or first degree from an accredited institution or university, or its equivalent.
  • Applicants participating in undergraduate degree programs must be on schedule to complete all degree requirements by August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year. There are no prerequisites for a specific field of undergraduate study; all fields are eligible; nevertheless, applicants, regardless of undergraduate major, must demonstrate how participation in Schwarzman Scholars would assist enhance their leadership potential within their field.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old but no older than 29 years old on August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year.
  • All teaching will be done in English, so applicants must be fluent in the language. If English is not the applicant’s first language, official English proficiency test results must be supplied with the application. Acceptable test alternatives include
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT). Minimum score 600.
  • • Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT). Minimum score 100.
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Minimum score 7

How to Apply

To apply, you must fill out an online application form and submit the necessary documentation by the deadline. Applicants from the United States and other countries must apply by September 20, 2022.

Applicants with Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Macao passports can apply until May 20, 2022.
