Applications for room and board Scholarships at the International House Berkeley are now being accepted from exceptional students for the 2023 Spring Semester. International House provides a once-in-a-lifetime chance for multicultural leadership development and living if you are considering housing options for the future.
The I-House Scholarship program’s goal is to give financially needy UC Berkeley students the chance to interact with people from all over the world while also educating international students about the diversity of racial and economic backgrounds in the US.
University of California Room and Board Scholarships
Each year I-House provides some 1,100 students and scholars from 75+ nationalities (including the USA) with an opportunity to live and learn together over the course of a typical 12-month cycle.
Due to the donations of many generous alumni and friends to International House, partial room and board scholarships may be provided to help deserving students reside at International House.
I-House impacts the world by producing global citizens equipped with stellar leadership skills and intercultural expertise. Fulfilling this mission begins by assisting students from diverse national and socioeconomic backgrounds to access the I-House Experience.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must fulfill the requirements listed below in order to be eligible for the University of California International House Berkeley Room and Board Scholarships:
- Applicants must be a full-time, upper-division (undergraduate junior or senior), or graduate students who are accepted and registered into a degree-seeking program at UC Berkeley. (Exchange students, extension students, summer resident-students, and visiting scholars are not eligible.)

- Demonstrated financial need
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- A confirmed room reservation for the semester/academic year for which you are applying. (Double-Occupancy room for undergraduates, or Low-Price Single or Regular Single for graduate students). Large or Premium Room contracts are NOT eligible for IH Financial Aid awardees. UC Berkeley students with enough units to qualify as Sophomore level, are welcome to apply for housing and financial aid.
