The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program and the Africa Oxford Initiative (AfOx) are welcoming applications from eligible young Africans for the Mastercard Foundation AfOx Scholarships. These scholarships are available for the 2024 academic session at the University of Oxford. This partnership aims to offer 400 young African scholars a fully-funded chance to pursue taught Masters degrees.
Its primary goal is to help African students gain access to opportunities at Oxford and enable them to succeed both during and after their tenure at the University.
About Mastercard Foundation AfOx Scholarships2024
The Mastercard Foundation AfOx Scholarship program assists passionate, locally rooted, and internationally minded African young people in pursuing graduate studies at Oxford. The AfOx Graduate Scholars Program includes the Scholarship. The Scholarship supports a rigorous one-year taught Master’s course at Oxford designed to provide Scholars with important technical, entrepreneurial, and leadership skills as well as connect them to world-leading resources in their chosen fields.
Scholars will be supported to take up 4-6 month internships with top Africa-based organizations for their Ubuntu Period of Service after completing their Master’s Program.
