The Graduate School of Frontier Sciences (GSFS) at the University of Tokyo is presently accepting applications from suitable applicants for the Todai Fellowship Program for the 2022–2023 academic year.
By awarding a scholarship (hereafter referred to as the “Todai Fellowship”), the Todai Fellowship encourages the admission of international students from various countries and provides financial support to international students with excellent academic achievement in their academic research in the doctoral courses at the University of Tokyo.
The GSFS screening result of the fellowship will be notified to applicants along with the result of the entrance examination. Nominees selected by GSFS will undergo a final screening by the Division of Global Campus Initiatives, then will be awarded the fellowship. The final and official screening result will be notified in the month of the enrolment. Please note that you have a high probability to be awarded the fellowship once you are nominated to the Division of Global Campus Initiatives from GSFS.

Eligibility Criteria | International Student Fellowship Program at University of Tokyo 2022
Applicants must fulfill the requirements listed below in order to be eligible for the University of Tokyo Fellowship Program:
- Applicants who are applying for admission to a doctoral course of the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences.
- Applicants who hold a valid visa to stay in Japan as a “College Student”.
- Applicants who are not applying and/or planning to apply for fellowships or scholarships provided by private organizations
