  • Fully Funded PhD Position in Machine Learning on Graphs

Graphs are playing an ever increasing role in nowadays systems as a flexible tool to model complex systems. In addition, these systems generate a vast amount of data which can be modelled as signals or features over these graphs. This is for instance the case of infrastructure networks such as water, energy and transportation networks but also the case of wind farms, solar grids and IoTs. Consequently, developing and using machine learning tools to process these graph data is more important than ever. Such a tools need not only capture the graph structure of the data but also account for the dynamics of the topology as practical graphs change over time.

  • Fully Funded PhD Position in AI for Ultrasound Localization Microscopy

Artificial intelligence (AI) methodologies are propelling nearly all imaging applications in life science and biomedical research. Ultrasound Localization Microscopy (ULM) is a breakthrough imaging modality that enables scientists to visualize the microvasculature of living organisms with a 10 microns precision. However, ULM is currently relatively slow. To go beyond the state of the art, one can rely on physics prior and latest AI techniques to accelerate ULM imaging in 3 dimensions. In this PhD project you will be embedded in a multidisciplinary collaboration enabling you to pursue advances at the interface of AI, ultrasound physics and medical imaging.

  • Fully Funded PhD Position in LLM-powered, Interactive and Aligned IDE

An essential part of the success of Large Language Model (LLM)-based tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT is their interface. While some of these models’ capabilities were available before, the tools brought them to larger audiences without dramatically disrupting their workflow or requiring lots of additional steps. IDE users have their own workflows and the injection of new complex features, such as LLM-based ones, is a non-trivial task and there exists a significant space for innovation in the field of Human-AI interaction.
