Algoma University International Scholarships
There are several international scholarships available for students starting their first- year studies at Algoma University.
- Entrance Scholarships
- Chancellor’s Award: $5,000 Renewable
- President’s Award: $2,500 Non-Renewable
- Dean’s Award: $1,000 Non-Renewable
- GCE (Cambridge/Pearson) AS and A-Level Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Algoma University International Scholarships, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- International students considered for the following awards must have a temporary resident visa, as a member of the student class under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act of Canada, on the first day of classes.
- All students who are required to pay the international differential fee including university transfers, second-degree students, college diploma graduates, and college transfer students are eligible for the Entrance Scholarship.
- Under no circumstances will international scholarships be deferred. Students must accept the terms and conditions of admission and scholarship awarded for the year the offer was made.
- American citizens are not eligible for these scholarships, as they are already eligible for a significant tuition discount.
