Fully Funded PhD in Computer Science – University of Texas Rio Grande Valley 2025/2026

Dr. Yoojun Kim invites applications from motivated students to join his research group at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). The position is available starting Spring 2026 or Fall 2026. The selected student will pursue a Ph.D. in Computer Science with Interdisciplinary Applications in the College of Engineering and Computer Science at UTRGV.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Civil
    Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in leveraging advanced computing technologies for applications in smart and connected communities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or computer engineering from a U.S. university.
