All new students entering The University of Winnipeg who have never taken courses or finished a degree there are eligible for these scholarships. Any division of the university, including Undergraduate, Graduate, Collegiate, Professional, Applied and Continuing Education (PACE) and English Language Program, might admit new students for the first time (ELP)
About University of Winnipeg Entrance Scholarship Awards
Some rewards will be given based on your admission average automatically, while others require an application. Those who are awarded an application-required entry award must enroll in classes during the session for which the award was given. Only the Special Entrance Scholarship has a one-year deferral option.

To be eligible for the Entrance Scholarship Awards for International Students, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:

- Entering first year of any program/school
- Have a minimum of 80% admission average or equivalent
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities
- Admitted to the University by the scholarship deadline
