DAAD-MUBAS Master’s Scholarships for International Students 2025

The DAAD-MUBAS Master’s Scholarships 2025 are now open for applications from both national and international students. The scholarships are for students applying to the Master of Science degree in Environmental Health and Related Disciplines at Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), School of Science and Technology, which begins in September 2025.

The DAAD-MUBAS Master’s Scholarships program is part of the In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Program, which is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It focuses on university staff first and foremost, while also addressing the public sector’s need for academically prepared professionals.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the DAAD-MUBAS Master’s Scholarships 2025, applicants must have:

• A bachelor’s degree with above-average results (a Credit, Distinction or GPA of 2.5 and above or equivalent)
• Obtained a degree from any recognized institution of higher learning in Environmental Health, Public Health or any other related field not more than six years ago.

Program Focus

The MUBAS Master’s program will be divided into two parts: coursework and dissertation. The coursework comprises ten core modules:

• Epidemiology and Biostatistics
• Environmental Pollution Control
• Food Safety and Hygiene
• Health Communication and Behavior Change
• Global Health
• Occupational Safety and Health
• Health Project Management
• Water, Sanitation and Hygiene; and
• Geographical Information Systems in Environmental Health Practice.
