Amsterdam Merit Scholarships 2023/24 are now open to international students. Non-EU/EEA students who want to start a degree program at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) in the 2023/2024 academic year are eligible for the scholarships.
The University of Amsterdam (UvA) seeks to attract the most talented students from around the world to its international classrooms. Outstanding students from outside the EU/EEA are eligible to apply for the Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS).
About Amsterdam Merit Scholarships
The Amsterdam Merit Scholarships is a yearly offer by the University of Amsterdam and targeted at high performing students from outside the EU/EEA countries. Scolarships are offered under the following faculties/graduate schools.

Who is eligible?
Students who hold a non-EU/EEA passport and have applied for a degree programme at the University of Amsterdam may submit an application for an Amsterdam Merit Scholarship.

How to apply
Applications should be submitted to the Admissions Offices of the Graduate Schools. Deadlines for the AMS differ per Faculty or Graduate School. You can find the specific eligibility requirements, selection criteria and application instructions on the Faculty or Graduate School websites (find links at official website).
