Applications from appropriately qualified individuals are requested for the African Research Fellowship 2025, which intends to enable African researchers to engage in Earth Observation (EO) R&D initiatives relevant to Africa’s challenges.
The Fellowship will enable the next generation of African scholars to create new, evidence-based solutions using EO data, allowing policymakers and civil society to solve social, environmental, and economic concerns.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for African Research Fellowship 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic and research abilities.
- Applicants must have obtained relevant first degree from recognized institution of higher learning and be enrolled in a PhD or Masters program.
- Applicant’s research interest must align with the objective of the fellowship particularly in the areas of water resource management and food security.

How to Apply for African Research Fellowship Program 2025
Interested applicants for the African Research Fellowship 2025 are to complete an online application and provide all the required information and document on or before the application deadline as late application will not be accepted.
Applicants are to submit the following supporting documents:
- Research Proposal (use the template provided with the ARF package).
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) including a list of publications (maximum 3 pages).
- Copy of identification (preferably passport).
- Scan of PhD or Master’s Diploma.
- Two (2) Reference Letters.
